The falling eagle

An egg has hatched.
And an eagle is born,
dependent on its mother for food.
Eventually, the mother entices the eagle out of the nest,
by flying next to it,
with food in her mouth.
And everyday,
she moves the food,
further and further away from the mouth.
Until one day,
the eagle leaps unknowingly out of the nest.
And then it starts falling,
fast like a rock,
32 feet per second,
per second.
There was no turning back,
ever.
In the fall, the eagle discovers what it can and cannot do.
In that moment.... (swish)
Up it soars,
into the sky,
where eagles are meant to be.
