Days Four & Five

-If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.-John 15:7

-I abide in the Lord Jesus Christ, and His words abide in me. So I ask my Father in prayer, believing I receive my healing today. By faith, it is done- I am healed!

-For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard of? and how shall they hear without a preacher?- Romans10:13,14

-Because I hear the Word of God, faith produces healing in my physical body. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be healed. I hear, I call, I believe- and I am healed!

Day Three

-And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. - John 8:32

-I know the truth that God wants to heal me, and the truth sets me free from any sickness or disease. I've found it in the Word; I know it's God's will. So I believe I receive my healing now!

Day Two

-As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come. - Proverbs 26:2

-I refuse to walk in unforgiveness and open the door to the devil. I won't allow the enemy's curse to come back on me. I choose to forgive, no matter what anyone does. I walk in love!

31 Days of healing

The small booklet tucked aside for some years is uncovered. I have decided to read it for the next 31 days to test if it works. A mentor told me that life at most times is a matter of recovery. Perhaps that is the reason we need break, rest, sleep and sabbatical/vacation; hospital, home and churches; the various nutrients and supplements; music, arts and dancing.

Day One
-My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. - Proverbs 4:20-22

-God's Word has the power to effect healing in my body. I hear the Word and faith rises in me, releasing God's power and producing what I need.

Irish blessings

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

May you live as long as you want,
And never want as long as you live.

Always remember to forget
The things that made you sad.
But never forget to remember
The things that made you glad.

Always remember to forget
The friends that proved untrue.
But never forget to remember
Those that have stuck by you.

Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.

May the saddest day of your future be no worse
Than the happiest day of your past.

May the roof above us never fall in.
And may the friends gathered below it never fall out.

May you have warm words on a cold evening,
A full moon on a dark night,
And the road downhill all the way to your door.

May there be a generation of children
On the children of your children.

May you live to be a hundred years,
With one extra year to repent!

May the Lord keep you in His hand
And never close His fist too tight.

May your neighbors respect you,
Trouble neglect you,
The angels protect you,
And heaven accept you.

May the Irish hills caress you.
May her lakes and rivers bless you.
May the luck of the Irish enfold you.
May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.

May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light,
May good luck pursue you each morning and night.

Walls for the wind,
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks beside the fire - Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire!

May God be with you and bless you,
May you see your children's children,
May you be poor in misfortune, rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May God grant you many years to live,
For sure He must be knowing
The earth has angels all too few
And heaven is overflowing.

May peace and plenty be the first
To lift the latch to your door,
And happiness be guided to your home
By the candle of Christmas.

May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

Meet the two lovely bears

They are called "Bear" and " Forebear".

More encounters

It was during one of my break time and I happened to enter a small building of SGH. I met a Malay patient who was wheelchair bound and he greeted me with a smile. I began to chat with him and discovered that he was paralysed by a traumatic fall from a second storey and he could not walk. A spinal cord injury. I heard of so many miracles of God's healing and I decided to pray for him. He was glad. I visited him on the second day with a cheesy, smiley balloon. It served to decorate his room. He pleaded me to come again but I could not guarantee as it might lead to complications. It rained on the third day. On the fourth day, I wrote him a card with a beautiful picture. I would tell him that it was going to be my last visit and I really hope that he would be fine. Maybe God will perform a miracle. When I reached the place, he was no longer outside his room. He was not in his room and I asked the cleaning lady and found out that he had transferred to the nursing home. My mission seemed silly and I sent the card to his family anyway. It enriches my life to interact with patients at times as I learn to care and also appreciate good health. It makes me more sensitive to others' needs. I passed by a middle age old man playing flute another day. People put in money into his box but I could tune in to his spirit and sensed that he was bored and tired. He stopped playing his flute. A drink stall was nearby and so instead of giving money, the best thing to do was a bottle of chestnut water and a chat and encouragement. I gave it to him and I was surprised at his response. He asked me whether I bought any for myself and yes I did. We exchanged a few words. As I left, the tune of the flute was back and it was really great! Although I did not get to my intended destination as my phone died and other blah blah blah , I managed to bless someone and myself along the way. Maybe that was the greatest lesson that God taught me thus far. Nitez. =)

The wise and foolish builders

"Why do you call me,' Lord, Lord,' and do not do what I say? I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete."
-Luke6:46-49

What's in the air?

Take a deep breathe- an air of freedom! It is really wonderful. I was on my uncle's motorbike yesterday and the strong wind blew against my cheeks. I saw people fishing by the big drain and other common sceneries of this city.

Take another deep breathe- got to plunge in! Hold the breathe and start counting. 1,2,3,4,5... It trains up endurance. Emerge from the water to gasp for the precious air. In and out. In and out. Constant replenishment and renewal. Stomach some water along the way. Nonetheless, the constant motion is maintained.

Breath- each breathe is a gift! How wonderful and how amazing! I feel great being alive and I want to SHOUT IT OUT LOUD- Is the world ready for me!

More than conquerors

And we know that in all thing God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

.., in all things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:28, 37-39

A rainy night

It is raining heavily now. Suddenly, I feel like learning to play a music instrument- " Er Hu"! MmmMmm MmmmM... Lightning and thunder. Oh my god!

Maybe someday I will
- learn Indian dance
- play " Er hu"
- study theatrics and drama
- row a sampan
- fishing for real fishes
- create a beautiful sandcastle
- go to Cambodia/Nepal/India
- write with both my hands
- store 200 beautiful songs and poems in my memory
- be at tour guide at some places

If those days will come soon enough...=)

An encounter

Today, I met an interesting patient. He was going through a session of chemotherapy but he looked rather jovial. He came with his young wife and chatted non-stop with the nurses, my friend and me. After some time of joking and chatting, he became to preach out of his sincere heart about God. It is a blessing to talk to him. He shared a lot of experiences and his revelations. He believes that God brings people into difficulties for a reason and he certainly has a positive mindset. He surrounds himself with words of encouragement and blessings. Most of all, he believes in helping others. That may be the reason that he is healing happily.

Up & on

Things just pile up and I was really tired for the past few days. Gone was the initial zeal, replaced by some sort of unreasonable fatigue. Today, I was led to a place by divine appointment and I was very much refreshed by prayers. Tomorrow there was a presention. I have not finished the texts and not yet memorize the facts. In Jesus's name, I pray that I will want to have the will to do it. I seem to be not very passionate about it. I break the reasons behind all these by prayer! Now, it's about 10.30pm. I want to keep on going and going. By 11.10pm, I will finish my slides. By 12.30, I will memorise all things and able to present well once through. By His spirit and His might, I will move on!

PS: You may not see me but it's ok! I just want a place to be heard, not a place to be changed. Just stay close by in spirits. As I write, I am strengthened. I don't want any help. Just an ear will do. Don't steer my direction. Just pop by alongside to catch the same sight at an unique moment.

In freedom & love,
gems

Psalm 34:4

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
